 [ABSTRACT]

The "Advanced Bio-industry," converging with technologies like AI, is emerging as a core global driver projected to reach $5 trillion by 2034. This study diagnoses Chungbuk’s bio-industry and presents strategies to leap forward as a global hub.

Currently, Chungbuk has established a complete ecosystem of Biopharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, functioning as a stable production and export hub. Uniquely, Chungbuk offers full-cycle support from R&D to production, hosting key national agencies like the MFDS. The region also boasts high investment efficiency and a favorable foundation for innovation through its "Advanced Regenerative Medicine Regulation-Free Special Zone."

To realize the vision of a "Global K-Bio Hub Centered on Demonstration and Commercialization," Chungbuk must expand into high-value fields like Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT). Key strategies include building a one-stop system within the Osong-Ochang-Cheongju belt, utilizing the Regulation-Free Special Zone to lower regulatory barriers, and establishing the "K-Bio Square."

In conclusion, Chungbuk must evolve from a production base into an "Execution-based Bio Cluster." These strategies will enable Chungbuk to secure self-sustainability and lead national innovation and global competitiveness.
