 [ABSTRACT]

Except for some cities area in Chungcheongbuk Province, most of them are population-extinct areas of agricultural villages, which continue to decline due to low birth rates and aging population, and at the same time have a common point that a large part of the local economy is dependent on agriculture.

However, most of the agriculture in these regions is operated by the old people, and in reality, it is very unfavorable to realize economies of scale due to farmland that is not as wide as other regions.

Recently, various efforts to revitalize agricultural villages have been considered, but in reality, the most useful alternative is the high value-added agricultural product-based agri-food production and the strategy to expand these foods to the global market.

These two strategies are not mutually contradictory, but must be implemented at the same time. Therefore, this study attempted to identify difficulties in revitalizing the export of agri-food and seek alternatives for companies with export experience for the past five years among agri-food companies in the province.

Currently, it was found that agri-food companies in the province are implementing overseas expansion of specific products and countries that rely on online. Considering the recent proliferation of the K-food market, it is considered a very important opportunity factor.

In this study, which was conducted to derive factors to revitalize exports of local agri-food companies, it was found that the difficulties felt by companies in the province were perceived as a lack of funds and a chronic lack of professional manpower. On the other hand, in relation to entering the global market, there is a great need for support policies related to finding customers and export marketing.

In addition, local companies recognize that the competitiveness of their products is the most important key to entering the global market, and they feel difficulty in obtaining various certifications, and they recognize that customized provision of related information is necessary due to other factors.

Based on these findings, it is considered very important to fund the policy support required for agri-food companies in the province to enter the global market, find and market buyers to enter overseas markets, and obtain various certifications that are a prerequisite for entering local markets.

In addition, it is necessary to provide detailed information on various support projects provided by the central government along with the provision of customized information by industry and target countries provided by companies, and at the local government level, customized policies should be discovered and supported in consideration of the realistic conditions of regions that the central government is not in charge of.
