 [ABSTRACT]

Recently, agriculture is in a difficult and difficult situation due to the continuous decline and aging of the farm population, the decrease in cultivated area, and the stagnation of agricultural income. Rice, the staple food, maintains a self-sufficiency rate, but the overall food and grain self-sufficiency rate has declined since 2009. In addition, the expansion of market opening due to the WHO FTA and changes in the cultivation environment due to climate change have reached the level that threatens agriculture and food security in Korea.

Korea's agriculture has developed based on science and technology, and there are the green revolution of the 60s and 70s that achieved self-sufficiency in staple grains through the development of unified rice, and the white revolution of the 80s and 90s that enabled the year-round supply of fruits and vegetables. Since the 2000s, agricultural income has been increased through the sixth industrialization of agriculture based on convergence and bio-revolution-related technologies, and new behaviors permeated with advanced science.

The movement of the center of agriculture has several meanings. Primarily, it can be seen that the increase in production of major crops, including rice, has achieved some goals. The increase in production has limitations in increasing rural income, and it has affected the diversification of rural income sources, the improvement of rural income and living standards, and the change in farmers' perceptions to pursue new values. In particular, in rural areas, convergence and integration such as healing agriculture related to the 6th industrialization of agriculture are actively taking place. The sixth industrialization is actively unfolding, converting from traditional primary industry type agriculture to secondary manufacturing and processing industries using tangible and intangible resources, or converging and converting tertiary industries such as experience, healing, tourism, and services.

The focus of agricultural policy shifts from increasing crop production to processing, distribution, and exports. The main task also shifts from the problem of eating and living to solving hunger to quality, safe and healing food. The shift of the focus of agricultural administration can be seen as the introduction of a new industrial paradigm as the primary industry, centered on increasing crop production, changed to the secondary and tertiary industries. Based on this paradigm shift, our agricultural industry in Chungcheongbuk-do is also facing a change in the 4th industrial revolution, the era of convergence, and the big era of carbon-neutral agriculture. In response to this, the agricultural sector is a future cutting-edge industrialization policy of Chungcheongbuk-do that fosters agricultural companies and farmers in Chungcheongbuk-do through bio + biomaterials, ② seed industry, ③ healing agriculture, ④ 6th industry, ⑤ pet industry, ⑥ insect-friendly food industry, ⑧ smart farms and youth agriculture, and satisfies consumers.

The paradigm shift of the agricultural life industry is in line with the creative society armed with imagination and creativity and science and technology-based economic operation in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. The era of automation of agriculture is opening up through the development of advanced agricultural methods such as ICT and convergence, artificial intelligence, and smart-based farm automation.

The agricultural and life industries are not limited to the primary industries of the past, but are converging, converging, and expanding into various fields. The scope is expanding to inter-industry convergence such as tourism, healing, new materials, bio-new drugs, and international cooperation agriculture between countries, and further to new types of agriculture such as space agriculture, sea agriculture, and polar agriculture. Based on the accumulated agricultural science and technology, the agricultural and life industry will emerge as a new industry by converting into a future growth industry through agriculture + food + convergence.
