 [ABSTRACT]

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which were unanimously adopted by 192 member countries at the 70th UN General Assembly in 2015, have emerged as a common goal that the world must pursue together by 2030. With the slogan ‘Leave no one behind’, it presents 17 goals and 169 detailed goals in 5 directions, including people, earth, prosperity, peace, and partnership, and now the whole world are participating and working to achieve goals.

As a member of the international community, S. Korea has also established the Korean Sustainable Development Goals (K-SDGs) to achieve its goals. As global interest in sustainability, including carbon neutrality, increases after COVID-19, establishing sustainable development goals for local governments is also an important issue.

Accordingly, this study aims at basic research to establish Chungbuk’s Sustainable Development Goals (C-SDGs), and aims to discover and propose goals and indicators in the transportation sector that take into account the current status and characteristics of the region. Through research, the original 2 goals and 3 indicators in the transportation sector were expanded and proposed to 4 goals, 7 detailed goals, and 25 indicators. Also trends in the indicators and policy directions for achieving the indicators are also proposed.

I hope this research will be helpful as a prior research in the transportation sector of C-SDGs.
